Puerto Galera Getaway :D

All of us are excited about the Mindoro trip but quite hesitant as to when the exact date would be. I am proposing if we could move it on October which is our sembreak or on a legal holiday (monday or friday, just in case) so that most of us could join in. I know everyone is just as delighted as me. Sino ba naman ang hindi? We also have our responsibilities and important matters to do (family get together, work, study) so I guess September (onwards) would be a reasonable time to go because we already have saved enough (for those who are still dependent or self-support/working) and it was carefully planned. Mga Par, this is our first major out-of-town trip so I am encouraging you to come and bring some friends(lovers, siblings, etc.). The more, the merrier (and less expensive, of course!).

 To JUL: I am so sorry i woke you up just to ask the password. Thank you. Anyway, you did a good job in organizing and improving this account.

To DEN: I hope you’re happy with us showing in your party (though late). It was meant to be a suprise. Unfortunately, you were only shocked seeing JJ.  I had fun though.

To all 2009 graduates: Kudos! 

 To the best batch: throughout these years, umulan na’t bagyo and all, we still proved to be the best and still remain united. Ah basta! Come what may, kahit na pamilyado na tayo, may reunion pa rin ha? (drama mode).

In lieu of Puerto Galera…

Hey guys! A couple of nights ago, Jul and I were able to talk about the plans regarding the Puerto outing. We came up with some suggestions but concluded that Batangas is better and a more practical resort to dig in (for Chrissake! kakagraduate lang natin so technically wala pang trabaho and pera). The Dorm Rooms of the Kabayan resort in Batangas are available at 6,000 php/night and capacity of 15 people (http://www.kabayanresort.com.ph/rooms.html). Now, since most of us are busy or will be busy that time (Board Exams, Classes and Work), we plan to schedule it on a holiday. We initially thought of August but Jul’s mom would be coming home that time, so we came up with the idea that this proposed f*cking outing may take place on the f*cking month of September. By the way, September will be a good month because of the birthdays of Bert and Ging (Syempre bday nila ng 21 kaya maglilibre sila diba?). I think the anniversary of Martial law is a holiday, correct me if I’m wrong, and that will be a good date.

Any dates to suggest? Feel free to tell the batch. So f*ck it!

Hola batchmates!

JUL: I must say when I used a DSLR camera of my Malaysian employer, I fell in love with it too. Pero dahil mag-aaral pa ulit ako, wala munang budget for that hehe.Sarap i-explore pag di ka talaga magaling, pa-tanga effect ba? hehe.

BATCH ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  We have always planned for an out-of-town trip. So we thought Galera, as in Puerto Galera in Mindoro (kill me if I’m wrong). Janine and Darcee din yata have been there for Geography classes. Janine told me we can save between 3000php to 4000php and that would be enough for 2 days ata (peace), all expenses covered.

Talked to Jul about it and he said naman na 2800-3000php is ok if we choose to go by the PACK (parang wolves lang) with a minimum number of 15 to be able to rent his superior’s villa at a lesser price.He said the ideal month: JULY.

 Sounds good di ba? Here’s the problem: WHEN?

Factors:

May-June: Preoccupied ang karamihan dahil sa board exams ng nursing people.

June: Papasok na ang mga may pasok pa.

So when? Whatif we take it by the holidays? November? December? Not sure. Help us find a way to get there.

The other guy who’s also in pink shirt is Jdel. He’s our Mr. Bean here, not because he’s funny but he looks like him.

Chapter 1: A New Beginning

Jomer, our technical trainer took this picture and the camera is owned by Penny one of our technical leads here.

When I was in my third year high-school, we had this subject called Journalism. I’m really not into this subject until I became the Photo Journalist of our editorial staff. Right Darcee? As far as I can remember, I was the one who volunteered to have this post or maybe not. But I volunteered not because I’m into taking pictures, but because tasks in this position are, somehow, too light to handle. Did I say that right? Haha. I admit, I like taking photos eversince I first held a camera but taking a step further on this matter is a “NO” for me, but I had no choice. I mean, it’s not that I don’t find it too exciting or fun to do, but I just don’t think I‘ll be good at it.

My father owned 2 SLR film cameras that time. So I just borrowed his Pentax MZ-7. And it was only me and Lyko who are using SLR film cameras. We took so many pictures, different angles, different people, inside the school gate, outside the school gate. We need to compile those pictures in a white cartolina and have our teachers judge it or should I say grade it. Surprisingly, my work was chosen as one of the best. Batchmates, please tell me you remember this. Sinabit pa nga yung mga napili sa labas ng classroom eh. Dun sa baba na malapit sa canteen. Hahaha. And oh, I was replaced by my editor-in-chief after that. Wala daw kasi akong ginawa masyado. 

Just yesterday, upon holding that camera I knew I can take another great shot for beginners and dumb users like me. And I did! Then my interest on this further escalated and the urge of buying one soon, is haunting me. I’d rather have a point-and-shoot type of camera first before buying D-SLR cameras. For now, makikigamit muna ako

My manager then told me na may potential daw ako. I just smiled. Will post some of the pictures I took next time.
