Time for reflection: God’s unending love for us…

January 22, 2009
“Ask and you shall receive,…” a very common phrase taken from Luke 11:9, tells us that when we ask God for something in his name, He shall give it to us like a father gives his son. Yet sometimes we feel that when we pray for something, it doesnt come true, why? Maybe because you dont believe! “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” - Mt. 21:22

Or maybe because he gives it to you in other forms!

This is dedicated the Lord! As one of the million ways of repaying His unending love for me. I realized now how blessed much more than how I thought it was. For when I asked for bread, he gave me the Words to eat. For when I asked for knowledge, he gave me food to clear my mind. For when I asked for relief in pain, He gave me time to heal. For when I asked for wisdom, he gave me experiences to learn from.

I cant say that I am the best man or even a great guy, because I am not but what I cant tell you is how much I am blessed, so blessed that when I try to just summarize all that He did for me, tears will just keep on coming. I am blessed with very hard-working, responsible, supportive, loving and sensible family. I am blessed with a wonderful, “all-in” network of friends. I am blessed with experiences in work and in life and be able to share these learnings to others.

He had given me too many wisdom, too many wishes come true, too many answers that I ask myself, what am I doing to repay these? WIth all these Christian obligations, is it enough? Is it enough to go to church everys Sundays? I think it is not. He is our great provider. Even just the air we breathe is all His, we can never say that “Oh I have done a good deed this day, so i already repay what God has given me.”. Too much blessing that we can never literally repay these back to Him, that is how He shows His unending love to us.

As you read this, I invite you to pause for a while, and think of all the things He had given you. When you were sick and made well, when you are in doubt and you were clarified, when you questioned yet found an answer, when you failed but something better came. Think of all of these so many blessings to make you too realize His unending love for you! Also think of what you have done in return for his blessings. Just pause for a while and reflect.

Let us live our lives for Him, let us live the life He has in store for us! In this way we can only repay His unending love. praise Him, thank him, learn what pleases Him. Have faith, never lose hope. But most importantly; Love your neighbor/others as you love yourself. Love God with all your heart and with all your might, because when you do this, everything else that is good will follow.
